Match Report:
Lymm started the game dominantly converting three out of their first three short corners, the first; a drag flick from Ben Hodkinson, beating the keeper to his right, the second a left slip to Griffiths who passed to the far post for a tip-in for Hunt. Antonelli got Lymms third with a well driven shot into the bottom corner. Knutsford only reply was form a short corner of their own, Akrill and Banchi could of added to Lymms tally but failed to convert their chances, 3–1 halftime. The second half Lymms play became sloppy, dibbling, passing through players and looking for killer balls to often. This was reflected by drawing | |

the half 2-2 with goals from returning midfielder Griffiths and Banchi. Lymm will be disappointed with the goals conceded especially with the last as they had opportunities to clear the ball. Final score 5-3, Lymm looked comfortable and in-control for long periods of the game and on a ‘good day’ could have scored 8, we will have to tighten up the defence and cut out the sloppy play if they want some clean sheets this season. |
