After weeks of friendlies we finally got to play a league game. With only 11 players available and no goal keeper it looked like a hard task. Michelle Collier agreed to go in goal first half then we were going to play with 11 out field players but Michelle Norcott being the good team player she is went in goal second half. It was all even for the first 15 minutes then Kate Holt found her goal scoring act. She had 3 attempts at a penalty corner and finally scored. Alderley came back at us and Michelle was brought into action clear the goal lines. Lymm then got their act together and started to play Hockey. Micheal Bishop stormed down the right wing and scored a second goal and Kate added another before half time.
The second half showed a good team performance with everyone working for each other. Michelle Collier came out of goal to play on the right laying on several goals for Kate and Liz Hopkinson to pop in before scoring herself. We ended up with an 8-0 score line with Kate scoring 5. Diane Moore was man of the match for her excellent tackling as sweeper. Nothing got passed her. She did have a rush of blood and ran the whole length of the field with the ball from the sweeper position and her excuse was I did not know what to do with the ball as no one came to tackle.
